“ A bustling old fashioned cafe style Vietnamese cafe where food is the main event. We went for dinner three days in a row and each time we had the papaya salad - hands down the best we have ever had. We tried 2 types of pho - beef rib, meatball, the bun with grilled pork and beef wrapped in betel leaf, the specialist dish with the betel beef wrap, the specialist dish with prawn wrapped in marinated beef. Everything was super tasty, bursting with favour and authentic (at least by our standards)! ”
“ Nice and strong Vietnamese cold coffee. Not too sweet. I liked they gave complimentary shrimp puffs to start. One size pho bowls with rich, flavorful broth. Brisket was a little on the tougher side. I wish there were some more other options for ingredients like at other pho places, e.g. tendon. Lemongrass chicken had a nice grill and the onion and oils got into the rice real nice. I really like them using steel bowls for the pho. I could recommend using glassware for water glasses/pitchers instead of plastic. This place has been a mainstay north of Chinatown for some time. Modern, culturally inspired decor. 10% cash discount. This place is pricier for pho compared to other GTA places that are much better but for the area, I understand. However, the chicken rice portion is very generous. Overall, I liked it. I would return if in the area. ”
“ One of my favorite restaurants in the area! I love their beef brisket & beef ball phở, tender beef with thick broth. Their barbecue on rice is also super flavorful, with generous portions and meat grilled to perfection. We tried their shrimp salad rolls today, light and refreshing :) ”
“ The food is great, I order grilled meat small but enough for two small girl. But they stock too much thing on one dish which make the grilled meat and veggi touch the table, and we have to wait more than 10 minutes. That’s stink ! There pork ear smelt bad too. But the rest are fine seasoning is perfect ! ”
“ Nice place to try the Vietnamese rolls in downtown. The place is a little small but fast and friendly service. We tried the salad, bun bo hue and rolls. The salad was so so, bun bo hue was a little salty but we really liked the rolls. Good portion and tasty sauce. ”
